This is a story, that i heard, thought you guys did like it.
"let me explain the problem science has with Jesus Christ."
the atheist professor of philosophy pauses before his class and asked 1 of his new students to stand.
" you are a christian aren't you son?"
"yes sir" the student says
"so you believe in God?"
"Absolutely"
"is God good?"
"Is Go all-powerful? can God do anything?"
"Yes"
"Are you good or evil?"
"The bible says that i'm evil"
The professor grins knowingly
"Aha! The bible!" he considers for a moment.
"Here's one for you. Let's say there's a sick person over here and you can cure him. You can do it. would you help him? Would you try?"
"Yes Sir i would."
"So you are good!"
"I wouldn't say that."
"but why not? You did help a sick and maimed person if you could. Most of us would if we could. But God doesn't"
the student does not answer, so the professor continues." He doesn't. does he? My brother was a Christian who died of cancer, even though he prayed to Jesus to heal him. How is this Jesus good? hmm? can you answer to that?
The student remains silent
"No you can't, can you?" the professor says.
"Let's start over again, young fellow. Is God good?"
"yes" the student says.
"Is satan good?"
"No."
"Then where does Satan comes from?"
the student falters. " From... God..."
that's right. God made Satan. didn't He? Tell me son. i there evil in this world?
"Yes Sir"
"Evil is everywhere. isn't it? and God did make everything, correct?"
"Yes"
"so who created evil?"
The student has no answer."
"Is there sickness/. immorality? Hated? ugliness. all these terrible things, do they exist in this world?"
"Yes"
"So who created them?"
The student did not answer, so the professor repeats his question, " Who created them?"
"Tell me." he continues. "Do you believe in /jesus /christ, son?"
"Yes. professor. i do."
"Science says that you have five senses you use to identify and observe the world around you. Have you ever seen Jesus?"
"No Sir. I have not."
"Then tell me have you heard your God speaks?"
"No sir, i have not."
" have you felt your Jesus, tasted your Jesus or smelt your Jesus?"
"No sir, i have not."
"yet you still believe in him?"
"yes."
"According to the rules of empirical, testable, demostratable protocol, science says your God doesn't exist. What do you say to that son?"
"Nothing." the student replies. " I only have my faith."
"Yes, faith." the professor repeats, " And that is the problem science has with God. There is no evidence. only faith."

"Professor, is there such thing as heat?"
"Yes., there's heat."
"andis there such thing as cold?"
"Yes, son . there is cold."
"No sir, there isn't."

"You can alot of heat, even more heat, super-heat, mega-heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat, but we don't have anything called 'cold'. we can hit -458 degree. you see, sir, cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of heat. we cannot measure cold. heat we can measure in thermal units because heat is energy. cold is not the opposite of heat, sir, just the absence of it."
"What about darkness sir? is there such a thing as darkness?"
"Yes. What is night without darkness?"
"You are wrong again sir. Darkness is not something; it is the absence of something. You can have low light, normal light, bright light, flashing light... but if you have no light constantly you have nothing and it's called darkness, isn't it? That's the meaning we use to define the word. in reality, Darkness isn't. If it were, you would be able to make darkness darker, wouldn't you?

"So what's the point you are making son?"
" My point is, your philosophical premise is flawed to start with and so your conclusion must also be flawed."
" flawed?"
"you are working on the premise of duality."
"You argue that there is life and then there's death; a good God and a bad God. you are viewing the concept of God as something finite, something we can measure. Sir, science can't even explain a thought. It uses electricity and magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one. To view death as the opposite of life is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive thing. Death is not the opposite of life, just the absence of it. Now tell me professor. Do you teach your students that they evolved from a monkey?"
"If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process. young man, yes, of course i do."
"Snice no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavor, are you not teaching your opinion sir? are you now not a scientist, but a preacher?"
"To continue the point you were making earlier to the other student, let me give you an example of what i mean?"
"Is ther eanyone in the class who has ever seen the professor's brain?"
"IS there anyone here who has ever heard the professor's brain, felt the professor's brain, touched or smelt the professor brain? No one appeares to have done so. So according to the established rules of emprical, stable, demostrable protocol. science says that you have no brain, with due respect sir. so if science says that you have no brain, how can we trust your lectures, sir?"
the old man answers
"I guess you wil have to take them on
faith."

With trials, we grow stronger in faith.
With Faith we move closer to God
With God, we can do all things.

Becoming aware of just how great God is life changing. When we truly come to know Him and not just about Him we certainly are able to see more clearly. To see our lack and the need we have for grace and mercy. The more we come to know Him the more we begin to see through His eyes and heart. We see the world in a much different light. We see a world that He loves and died for hurting and dieing, no peace, no joy, and no love. Jesus is a gift we have received and must share.
He has the ability to transform the hardest of hearts and fill them with love and compassion. Today was super full of things ><*

firstly woke up late, end up was in a hurry for school. the punchline, i went to school and the first sentence i did was breathe in very suddenly and deeply "AHHHHHHH!!"
i forgot my friend's notes ><*

2ndly had my last marketing communication tutorial in canteen =.=
( my teacher is as forgetful as me)

3rdly ate sapprinoos pizza~~ yumm yummm~ at T's house.

4thly went to find J at tpy to head down to Ps. K's place.

ahhh so fast a month have passed le.

happy birthday bro!! i love you!!
heehee yesterday was a blast, thank God for claris man ohh mannn,
i owe that girl many.
(remember!! a treat from my dad at Akashi~)
HoHo, my dad promise that clar and i can go akashi and bill it to him =pp
yummm~

Anyways yesterday started out with me meeting up claris mok then we walk in and started preparing about 300 waterbombs for the game
(cough cough- we are the game Mc- kinda-)
while we wait for my bro's friends to come.

They did came ahh~
but they din play the games =((
i was thinking damnit, they are sooo not going to be dry on their way home.
it's painful to tie balloons ehh, but for my bro~ oh wells.

Then i went around to take peeps funny face with clar's help to socialise with them
(mann we are the best partners in the world)
i was trying to introduce clar's as me and me as claris =pp
(managed to confuse them a bit)

then ended up knowing a whole new bunch of people while his other friends stream in.
think there's about 40 of us~ includin my fav granny~
(she's damn cute on the polo film!!)

after that blah blah blah, had dinner.
then i gathered them for a last game before the cake~
we played~ charades!!
heehee from professional to movies to guessing emotions from saying a phrase (the highlight)
the very last performer was my bro~

and he had to perform "flirtatious"
using "twinkle twinkle li' stars, how i wonder what you are~"
heehee that was the climax!!
heehee of course many thanks to the help of his best friend, Shawn.
Both of them brought up the laughter up another bar ^^

lastly ending up with the sing birthday song, annoucement, wishes, cut cake~

Taking of group photos of the masses with some of them finding the waterbomb and took one at each hands.

of course i gladly did the honour of counting for them to throw at my bro~

the small simple action turned ut to be water war~

ahh~ at least the waterbombs was cleared ^^

heehee yesterday was fun ^^
went home from claris's place at noon then rest for awhile then went over school for project meeting~ after which met up with dennis, ze xuan and claris ^^

we went over to vivo to shop around and ta-pao food out of republic cause to full le ><*
then we ate at the grand stand where random people are singing random songs on the stage (free performance~)
heehee, after that we went over to mount faber~
dennis say it's the first time he was on mount faber ( did i spell it correctly??)
we took quite a few pictures and ended up at the super nice bridge!!
will post the pics when i get the photos ^^
spend quite a while there arrr~ found a spot to chit chat~
from random tings like stars to serious stuff~ it was damn shiok~
just sitting down and chit chat x)) the bridge was very cooling as well ^^
on the way back we were also talking about each others pai-kuan (bad habits) more so for us to improve ahhh~ think it's really good ^^

anyway peeps~ must go take a walk at the bridge at night wor~ -nice nice ^^

heehee i skipped youth last week to give my ganma a surprise visit ^^
some of my friends ask me why i private my blog,
but it's because i don't wanna let my life be read like a open book to others,
be it my happiness or sadness or deep thoughts or randomness.

i went to get a bouquet of red roses for my ganma.
( i have always loved giving people flowers, for normally the people around them feels that it's a waste of money which have short life span, but i think it's for the moment of happiness that i wanna give them~ )

yesterday pei my mummy dearest the whole day to consider it a birthday gift from me to her.
The sermon yesterday was quite good,
thank God it happen to be Gospel Sunday,
the message was really intended for my mum.
It also gives out a wake up call, to me.
The wake up call is not new, but it served as a reminder.
Pray hard people, that salvation to occur with your loved one before Death takes them.
yesterday sermon was about the unexpected moment of death,
that we would not know when we will die even if it seems like we still have a long road to go.

i thank God for the people He placed in my life, if not i would not have known Him.

just wanna restart my life all over again,
yer know just like how you reboot your com when it's attack by virus
or just refuse to function the way you wants it to.

Heehee, God has been good to me, soo good.
That's without doubt.
It not that we do not understand His teaching or some of the lesson
that He teaches through various methods.
Just that we need occasion reminder.

I love you all you people out there.
I have not exactly met the worst of bad companies
or people who feign their friendship with you.
I am grateful.

But people, hold on to your seatbelt,
cause you can bet with your life i'm gonna change.
i don't know whether the change is for the better otr the worse,
but i will definitely change. x))

no one can take a eraser and rub off their past,

heehee, yesterday had fun with serene.
we ate manga sago~~ yup yup
i had one, then took another for the road =p

then we decided to be random and just hop on to the first bus that come, ending up at clarke quay.

i wanted to walk on the bridgeee.....
but.... hais... no arm muscle nia...
okie must go train~ then i can walk on the bridge ^^

then we spotted a haagen das cart~~ lovess!!
i wanted to push it home...
a couple of westerner saw us, and started taking out their camera.
i thought they wanted to take a pic of the cart so pulled serene away.
but ending up they wanted to take our pic!!

heehee, being a friendly christian of course let them take.
after that serene took a photo of me attempting to push the cart home.
(it's mine ahhhh!!! finder's keeper!!!)

had lots of fun with her ahh~
especially the part when
we wanna find a spot to slack and just chit chat about random things.
of our life, of the people in our life, of church, and of story of ourselves.

i have learnt lots and lots of stuff from yesterday.
ytd a group of my team mates, friends and i went down to a old folks home.
i learn alot about the old folks,
like how some of them ended up there
and some felt that it's alright
while for others i felt sooooo unfair for them ><*

but other then the old folks, i saw something else.
something that really makes me feel so proud and happy.
that the friends that i asked to come along are such a big heart people.
i have seen sides that i have never knew they had.
especially since for 2 of my friends that went i knew them for so long and am very close to them.
even for the time that we were tgt i have never knew that their compassion was overflowing.
and i was touched when a friend that i have just met came down to help out, even though he need not.
although they all had difficulties communicating with the old folks.
but you know what?
they tried x))
they tried to help as much as they could and even more than normal perfect stranger would to an elderly.

you guys rock on man, i pray that if we ever lose contact as we carry on down our path, i pray that i will see you guys in heaven.

really hope that God place more people around him to teach him about God's way.

#2 ever since i hear pastor mention about how when we pray a hedge of protection and blessing encircle us. i was pretty awe by that knowledge so since then i start praying for that hedge to surround my family and friends.

He came true to His promises!
My brother was telling me just now how he nearly got into a major car accident!

whereby the 1st car collided the 2nd then the 3rd.
the 4th car which was a taxi make a emergency break, but it was super sudden that my bro was so fearful that he might hit it even when he make that emergency break.
but he stop in time to have a small marginal gap!!
praise the Lord!
but when he look into his rear mirror he was thinking "crap.."
as the (6th) car behind also made the same emergency break.
but managed to avoid my bro's car.
However the 7th and the 8th car collided ><

in short he was in the exact middle of the car accident but he came out with not even one scratch. thank God.

i really want to thank and praise God, for He does listen to our prayers.

today i learn more of God's word, and pastor tells us that

okie i realised my blog is dying.
must send some revival to it.

done lots of things, but just couldn't remember de details well.

Clar stayed over during her birthday x)
the power sorta died somewhere after 12.
(this is the part where the pleasant surprise was suppose to come.. but yar sorry love.)
managed to find my firesparkles and decided to have fun in spite of de sudden death.
("if you can't win them, join them" -- chessy i know, i know.)
but we had fun ^^
we were playing songs from my hp, and when "you reign" was playing de light came back`

was just taking bus 174 which was the one that's specialised to transport handicap. one of the design that i love about it was the window x)

actually i think i'm afraid of lots of things ><
-horror movie
-sudden loud sound
-sudden flashes (yarr.. basically lightning and thunder especially if its at night @.@)
-not being able to eat chocolate ( chocolate is a essential source of food of life, people)

and most importantly losing happiness.
i fear that i would fall in love with something but ultimately it will walk out of my life. because i was feeling too blissful.

i always find that people never fail to amaze me~
was visting one of my relative's house and was given two cool art work
( i couldn't post it yet, as she haven't had her exhibition at esplanade, sorry guys )
love her artpieces at her place~ some are personally drawn by herself.

surprisingly we hit off quite well,
though i have not exactly talk to her that much before.
she told me about her view of art and how she did her graduation piece
(she's a degree holder in art btw)
.
we talked about random stuffs,
and there's a point that i learnt from her today~

-> everything, really EVERYTHING has two sides - it's good and bad
she even quote an example of prostitute.
that it's natural of us not to be able to think of any good of them.
but they are actually doing good to the society if you think it this way:
that they prevented people from getting rabbis (? think i got the wrong word.. )
by thinking that way, she started giving them a bit of respoect.
.
basically her point was to tell me how to be happy.
by making your heart bigger, becoming the bigger person in you.
don't see things too narrow-mindedly
for others does things for a reason, only that we do not know what it might be,
but just believe and see the better person out of them x)

#2 the no. of drinks available
#3 trying out 4 (or was it 5?) different drinks
#4 bottoms up too much ( and man, my aunt cheated. lahh)
#5 mixing drinks like from champagne to white wine, back to champange then red then back to white... so on and so for.

was just staring at the stars for more than half and hour.
conclusion:
-30+ stars out there tonight
-one passing plane
-one more shooting star~ x))
- don't stare at laptop then back at the sky as the stars will lesser
- keep staring the sky for long and you get to see those tiny stars that were hiding at first glance^^

i just found out that i'm a really super slow-thinker.
( so please do not try to trick me ><)
But the thing is i tend to think back to what had happened and ponder over it.

take for instance last friday~
during my IAC last lesson, we had to find out on an charitable organisation to volunteer in and explain why we chose that organisation.
my brain was seriously not working that time, so i din contribute much
(much apologies mates~)
we chosed Children Cancer Foundation.
.
but i'm seriously thinking about getting involved with that organisation.
mm~ one of my friends asked why.
i couldn't answer properly then, but i think i could now.
.
.
i had once lost a friend to leukemia during sec 2.
that was most probably the first time i got to know of such a word.
she was a very nice and sweet girl, when the news came most of us couldn't believe it.
.
She had to endured the medication effects, that no one could clearly comprehend.
but she was definitely not the only one that was hurting, her family's and friends' heart were also bleeding.
.
i feel that life was super unfair to those who were diagnosed of cancer, especially the young ones. as they do not even get the chance to further their studies, to take flight with their career, or even to fall in love.
.
i feel that the iac qn was wrongly phrased. they asked what benefits would be brought to the organisation. But i'm certain that those volunteers definitely did not help because of the organisation, but rather the people who seeked help from it.

been a long day~
my bro keeps goose-ing up today
he was nice to fetch me to my piano lesson xD
but he took a wrong turn and we ended up semi-lost
(he's damn bad with bishan that area)
on the way back, after he picked me up, he told me he got lost again after leaving J8
hahas and he was trying to sing something like,
"one for L, two for A, and three for T, follow by a E"
( i have a werid and funny brother, but hey still loves him ^^)

after that he was suppose to drop me off somewhere, but he missed the exit from the expressway ><
i was repeating the same qns to him three times, "is this Eng Neo exit?? is this Eng neo exit?? are you suppose to turn??" but he genius-ly missed t =p
then he blame it on me, hurrhurr'
he said that i should have just shout at him and say,
" TURN LEFT, TURN LEFT!"

nice advice right~

anyways don't wish to continue his i-am-not-myself-today mistakes
cause he definitely make a couple more before he ended his day xD

but nevertheless, still damn glad that i got him as a bro ^^

it's a pretty good movie~ light-hearted kind
talking about this girl that has been a pretty good bridemaid and always help others when they are getting married instead of putting herself as first priority.
